Born January 20, 1964 in Dayton, Ohio, Ron starred at Miami University, where his high flying playing style drew rousing comparisons to Julius Erving. Harper was selected 8th overall by the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 1986 NBA Draft. His fifteen year NBA career including playing for the Cavaliers, Clippers, Bulls, and Lakers.
